There is a big misconception that "mesh" goggles split Airsoft bbs and you can get bb fragments in your eyes leading to blindness. While we haven't heard of or experienced any such claims, what we do know is that our stamped steel goggles and masks do a very good job at absorbing the impacts of the bbs therefore decreasing the chance of the bbs splitting as compared to wire mesh.
We have tested our stamped steel materials time and time again using scenarios that more than likely will never occur, such as getting shot point blank by a sniper rifle in the same spot multiple times. And while this is a near impossible situation, we test for the worst case scenario.
Below are some images of the tests we have done, as well as images sent in by some of our customers proving our products are designed to do what they are intended to do.
Impacts were measured in Feet Per Second (FPS) using chronographs intended for Airsoft usage. FPS ratings ranges 530+ as shown in photos.
The following test was conducted using a CA M4 variant; highly modified AEG platform Sniper rifle.
